What are the classifications of automobile moulds?
Generally speaking, "automobile die" is the general name of the die for manufacturing all parts of the automobile. For example, injection moulds, stamping moulds, forging moulds, casting wax moulds, glass moulds and so on. When people talk about cars, the first thing they see is the body of the car. That is to say, the body is the signature assembly of the car. The body represents the image of the car. In a narrow sense, the automobile die is the general name of the die for punching all the stamping parts on the automobile body. That is "automobile body stamping die". For example, the flanging die for the top cover, the pressing die for the strengthening plate of the cross beam, etc.Classification of Automotive Plastic Moulds
mould
There are many methods to classify automotive plastic moulds. According to the different methods of forming plastic parts, they can be divided into the following categories:
injection mould
Injection moulds are also called injection moulds. The moulding process of the mould is characterized by placing the plastic raw materials in the heating barrel of the injection machine. Plastics are heated and melted. Driven by the screw or plunger of the injection machine, the injection system of the nozzle and the mould enters the mould cavity. Plastics are solidified by heat preservation, pressure holding and cooling in the mould cavity. Because the heating and pressurizing device can play a role in stages, injection moulding can not only moulding plastic parts with complex shapes, but also has high production efficiency and good quality. Therefore, injection moulding occupies a large proportion in plastic parts moulding, and injection moulds account for more than half of plastic moulds. Injection machines are mainly used for thermoplastic forming, and in recent years, they are also gradually used for thermosetting plastic forming.
Compression die
Compression die is also called pressing die or rubber die. The moulding process of this kind of mould is characterized by adding plastic raw materials directly into the open mould cavity, then closing the mould. After the plastic melts under the action of heat and pressure, it fills the cavity with a certain pressure. At this time, the molecular structure of plastics produced chemical cross-linking reaction, gradually hardening and setting. Compression moulds are mostly used for thermosetting plastics, and most of their moulding parts are used for the shell of electrical switches and daily necessities.
Transfer mode
Transfer die is also known as injection die or rubber extrusion die. The moulding process of this kind of mould is characterized by adding plastic raw materials into the preheated feeding chamber, then applying pressure from the pressure column to the plastic raw materials in the feeding chamber, melting plastic under high temperature and pressure and entering the cavity through the pouring system of the mould, and then chemical cross-linking reaction occurs and gradually solidifying and forming. Transfer moulding process is mostly used for thermosetting plastics, which can shape more complex plastic parts.
Extrusion die
Extrusion die is also known as extrusion die. This kind of mould can continuously produce plastics with the same cross-section shape, such as plastic pipes, bars, sheets, etc. The heating and pressurizing device of the extruder is the same as that of the injection machine. Molten plastics pass through the die to form continuous moulding parts, and the production efficiency is particularly high.
In addition to the plastic moulds listed above, there are also vacuum moulds, compressed air moulds, blow moulds, low foaming plastic moulds and so on.
The stamping parts of automobile body are generally divided into covering parts, beam frame parts and general stamping parts. The stamping parts which can clearly express the image characteristics of automobile are automobile panels. Therefore, the more specific automobile die can be said to be "automobile panel stamping die". Abbreviated as automobile panel die. For example, the trimming die for the front door outer panel, the punching die for the front door inner panel, etc.
Classification of automotive stamping dies
Of course, not only the body of the car has stamping parts. Dies for all stamping parts on automobiles are called "automobile stamping dies". To sum up, it is:
1. The automobile die is the general name of the die for manufacturing all the parts on the automobile.
2. The automobile stamping die is the die for stamping all the stamping parts on the automobile.
3. The stamping die for automobile body is the die for stamping all stamping parts of automobile body.
4. The stamping die for automobile panels is the die for stamping all automobile panels.

2. The two-half die is composed of upper die and lower die.
4. High Speed Cutting Technology for Automotive Dies
High-speed cutting technology has been widely used in the automotive die manufacturing industry at home and abroad, and has achieved tremendous benefits. However, the mechanism and related theory of high-speed cutting are still imperfect, and the high-speed cutting database for automotive die has not yet been established. Domestic and foreign enterprises still choose high speed cutting tool parameters and high speed cutting processing parameters mainly by traditional "trial cutting" and "experience method". When processing a new material, it is often necessary to use a variety of cutting tools to carry out repeated cutting tests, study and analyze the wear and tear ways of cutting tools and their causes, and find out the best set of cutting tool materials and processing parameters. Repeated, blindness, and waste a lot of human, financial and resources. For the high speed cutting of special materials such as alloy cast iron, high strength alloy steel and superalloy (such as titanium alloy), how to select suitable cutting tools according to material characteristics and how to design reasonable cutting parameters are still under research and development.
High-speed cutting technology is an advanced manufacturing technology in the 21st century, which has strong vitality and broad application prospects. High-speed cutting technology can solve a series of problems in conventional cutting of automobile dies. In recent years, in the United States, Germany, Japan and other industrial developed countries, high-speed cutting technology in most of the die companies
